Waste Fluid Screening

Fluid: Various waste fluids including plating solutions & oils etc.
Flow rate: 27M3/hr
Line size: 4" inlet, 3" outlet
Retention rating: 2mm
Materials: all stainless steel

Problem:
A client who collects waste fluids such as waste oils and plating bath solutions from all types of industry for disposal or clean up and reuse had as problem in that the waste oil tanks on site at the various locations would often be used for everything and would end up with work gloves, nuts & bolts & cigarette buts etc. in them.

This caused a lot of problems for their pumps resulting in costly repairs and downtime and more contact between personnel and the fluids than was desirable.

Solution:
We supplied them with small run down screens for trial purposes. This consists of a ready made unit with inlet feedbox, overflow weir, wedge wire rundown screen, underflow collector box and solid discharge point/chute.

Result:
The trial unit worked out well and they proceeded with an order for a 2 metre wide x 1.5 metre rundown screen complete with special extended inlet feedbox with baffle to dissipate the pressure of the waste being discharged from the waste tanker truck.

The unit had several inlet & outlet connections to allow maximum flexibility in its exact location on site. It also had several drain points to allow drainage of residual oil from low points of inlet feedbox and to facilitate cleaning out of settled debris. (E & OE)
