Filtration

Filtration removes particulate from a fluid for the purpose of meeting specifications for solids removal, solids recovery, optical clarity and a specific particle distribution in the fluid for protection of down stream equipment.

Hall Pyke can supply a wide range of cartridges, bags and housings and are agents for:

Separation

This is the process of removal of large particles from process/waste streams. Although primarily the term is used in relation to large particles, fine screen meshes as fine as 25 micron aperture size are available.

Case Studies

Paint Filtration
"A multinational manufacturer of house paints wanted to automate their filling operation and use Clean-In-Place filters to eliminate the need for throwaway filter bags. For many years they have been using Ronningen-Petter bags filters which were installed during a previous expansion. During this expansion they were looking to purchase some old style cast stainless steel strainers. A 3" unit of this type has a basket with a surface area of approximately 150sq inches. The 1½" bag filters have a surface area of approximately 510 sq inches each. We advised them that it would be unwise to use smaller units."
